A medium Collinson & Sons, Liverpool, rocking horse, c.1960, on safety stand, carved wood painted dapple grey, horsehair mane and tail, leather and plastic saddle and harness, metal stirrups on varnished wood stand with tapered square uprights, 46" x 54" x 18" Note: Collinsons were early rocking horse makers still in business, established 1853, initially in black, but Queen Victoria visited Liverpool with dapple greys on her carriage which became the standard paint finish thereafter
