A FRENCH SILVER SWEETMEAT BASKET, 18th century, of shaped oval form, the everted rim hung with cast flower swags with pierced stylised flower panels, with two cast laurel leaf wreath handles and raised upon four knurl feet, Paris charge mark, (discharge countermark 1768/74), sponsor's mark MP/DK, 6 1/4" wide, 8ozs, together with a French beaker of baluster form engraved with a band of flowers enclosing a cartouche 'Florence', Minerva's head, maker's mark possibly CT, 3 1/4" high, 2ozs 15dwts (2)
