A PAIR OF OAK CHAPEL PEWS by Robert "Mouseman" Thompson, of plain boarded form with chamfered edged ends, straight top rail and tapering base, one end of each carved with a quatrefoil, padded seat and missal shelf to rear, 118" x 19" x 40"
Provenance: Although not bearing the usual carved trademark, these pews were supplied by Thompson of Kilburn to the Methodist Chapel in Cleckheaton in 1961, with only a third bearing the trademark. The following lot was also supplied at the same time.
