AN ART DECO "PLAIN PINE" PATTERN SILVER TABLE SERVICE for six place settings, maker Roberts and Belk, Sheffield 1959, all engraved "S", comprising soup, dessert and teaspoons, table and dessert forks and four tablespoons, with a set of six later matching fish knives and forks, Sheffield 1969, 66ozs 15dwts total, together with a set of six each matching hollow silver handled table and dessert knives with Greenwood steel blades, Sheffield 1959 (58)
NB This pattern was specially designed by Walter Belk to be used in the First Class saloon of the RMS Queen Mary in 1936 and has recently been chosen by the V & A Museum for their 1930's exhibition as the best pattern of this era.
