AN EARLY VICTORIAN SAMPLER, 1840, worked by Eliza Oddie aged 10, in coloured wools and full cross stitch on a coarse linen ground with a religious verse over a church flanked by the Tree of Life with Adam and Eve, a large cat and various other figures and animals over a large figure of a huntsman seated astride his horse with a hound at his side, within a stylised scroll and flower border, 16 3/4" x 20 1/2", framed and glazed (Est. plus 21% premium inc.
