A JAPANESE TANTO BY SUKESADA, 1584, the 8 1/4" blade with undulating hamon and signed tang, possibly later mounts including a white metal habaki, gilt metal inlaid tsuba, gilt decorated fuchi and kashira, shagreen and leather wrapped grip inset with labourer menuki, lacquered scabbard with gilt inlaid kogai, later kogatana and white metal tsunami pattern scabbard tip, 13 1/4" long
