A PLATED TABLE SERVICE for twelve place setttings, maker Roberts & Belk, mid 20th century, in Rat Tail pattern, comprising dessert spoons and forks, soup and teaspoons, twelve pairs of fish and fruit knives and forks, eighteen table forks, six each egg and table spoons, pair of sauce ladles and fish servers, gravy spoon, soup ladle, sugar tongs and shovel, all engraved "M", together with twelve each table and dessert knives and a five piece carving set, the ivorine handles engraved and stained "M", all contained in a mahogany bow front canteen, the hinged lid enclosing a grey baize lined and fitted interior with two lift-out compartments, the deep frieze with stop fluting centred by an applied husk wreath, and raised upon four tapering square section supports with applied pendant husks on square baluster feet and castors, 35 3/4" x 19 1/2" x 30 1/2" (Est. plus 21% premium inc.
